Everyone remembers the iconic music video for "The Scientist," where we see Chris Martin walking and moving backward while the story is told from the end to the beginning. But what looks like a digital editing trick was actually a tremendous physical challenge for Chris.

In order for his lips to sync perfectly with the song's lyrics while everything else was moving in reverse, Chris Martin had to learn the entire song backward! He spent weeks practicing the reverse phonetics of every word so that, when the tape was reversed in the editing studio, it would look like he was singing normally. An obsessive level of effort that turned the video into an award-nominated work of art.
